Discover Your Watershed: Thurston Hills Walking Tour

June 2, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join the Middle Fork Willamette Watershed Council and Willamalane Park and Recreation District for a day out on the trails learning about Thurston Hills and why it was ripe for restoration. Project managers from both Willamalane and the Middle Fork Willamette Watershed Council will lead the tour stopping along the way to highlight important elements.

We will be hiking about 6 miles round trip. The first three miles are on an a steady incline, please be aware that this tour will require some strenuous activity. Please be sure to bring water, wear sturdy close toed shoes, and walking sticks as the trail is uneven at some spots. If you have any questions about the hike and what you might experience please contact gale@middleforkwillamette.org.

Bring a bag lunch and your questions as we will be stopping at the top to take in the views and learn about the oak habitat restoration happening there.

This tour will be limited to 20 people, so register early to save a spot! Registration can be found here.

This event is free and open to the public but a suggested donation of $20 will help us to continue offering programs such as this one.
